My Subaru

July 11, 2010 by cathy · Leave a Comment

How’s my car for performance?  My Subaru outback never misses  a beat!  You know, if you want reliability, this is the car for you!  As I am driving down the highway at 3am in the morning, I am so happy and confident I am in my safe reliable Subaru Outback, and if you want room - the back is a great  place to curl up! Believe me, I am always forgetting the time, and miss the  motels, so I always have my mattress in the back.

Gee I love these cars the economy is great, so is the pick-up when I need  it on the open road.  Passing those damn trucks is unbelievable ,the car is quiet ,easy to negotiate bends, and in a rain storm I know I am safe, gripped to the road with skid bars to protect me.  You know my Subaru goes where Toyotas fear to tread !  My stereo system is so, so, great as well!

This week took me to the beautiful Central Coast, just 90 minutes from the CBD of Sydney, no wonder Sydney siders move here or have another property and as soon as the weekend hits its off again to get out of the city, the temperature is always a cosy 22 or up on the central coast but it does get its fair share of rain and really looks a picture now, I was fortunate to list a great home industry business located on the main road to Wyong,

Vendors are retiring what lovely people they are and gee what a great buy

This one is! , fancy living at home and not worrying about fighting the traffic to and from work, well there is something to be said about a home industry and its all good! this one is a printing business but if you were looking just for a investment you could pay the price that’s so reasonable and turn the home into any home industry because it’s all set up and if you need the kids to have their own room well the granny flat sure would come in handy look it up on my site.

I lost my poor old cat this week Satin by name and Satin by nature there wasn’t a dog cat or person he didn’t confront if coming into our property he was the best watch dog I have ever had poor old thing had diabetes, isn’t that funny a cat with Diabetes, my son tells me it’s because I feed everything too much, gosh I wonder who’s next? Anyway on I go on my travels to my Beautiful Nelsons Bay and listed a top restaurant right on the water more news on this one later! Business is still Booming lots of enquiries on most of my businesses from all over the globe and happy to say a few more this week ready to go to contract , buying a business is rewarding satisfying and you are in control of your own destiny so say bye bye to the boss and give me a call !

Getting Robbed, Hot Flushes & a SCUBA Diving

July 19, 2008 by cathy · 3 Comments

Well I have been everywhere the last few months, running around with buyers from state to state. Some successful, some not so. On one of my trips down the coast I was taking a short break in a park when a man pushing a baby called ”is that your car ’cause it’s just been broken into”. That’s right, the brazen robbers had followed me, smashed my window and robbed me blind.

As the story goes… poor buggars, it’s hard for them isn’t it? I pay for them all my life in my 46 cents in the dollar and then I pay for them some more. That makes the 4th time in one year for me.

Well after a week of rebuilding the Subaru and cancelling credit cards I moved on to a top Sydney listing on the South side. On the water there was a magnificent SCUBA diving business and dive school. Gee, the owners need medals for their dedication to this great icon in Australia. Mike Whitney and Koshie from the morning show dive with these people on a regular basis and endorse it wherever they go. It’s seen on all the getaway shows and now I have the pleasure of selling it. So listen… you want a top adventure business, totally established and known world wide check out the listing on Best Business Buys or give me a call.

On the funny side of the car robbery is when the glass broke all over my seat it jammed up my seat belt and I got stuck in the damn thing. I just couldn’t get to a mechanic in time to fix it, so there I was with my darling little grandchildren aged 7 and 5 in the car and Grandma is caught in the seat belt. If you know anything about the stress of Menopause you will know what a dreadful hot flush is like, particularly when you realise you are stuck and can not get out.

So there I am pulling on the seat belt and having a hot flush and my darling Blair says “Grandma, what will we do?”. I said to them “run into that furniture store and tell the lady Grandma’s stuck in the seat belt”. So in they go… shop full of people of course… “excuse me lady, but my Grandma’s stuck in the car!”

And you guessed it, out comes the whole town to have a look. Everyone’s doing their best to get poor old Grandma out and the looks on my grand kid’s faces were priceless. Chelsea says “Grandma, you’re old now, do you think you will die soon!” God love em!

For the next week I had service station attendants looking at me in despair as I rapped on my window for them to come out and release me from that damn seat belt until I finally got the thing fixed and off again on another mission.

Fishing Charter Sydney – Seasick on Botany Bay

January 5, 2008 by cathy · 8 Comments

Last month took me to the beautiful shores of Botany Bay to list a fishing charter. It’s a beauty if your interested.

Fishing Charter Sydney

Anyway when I was a little kid my good old dad, a retired policeman, took me fishing every single minute we had so I grew up a little fisher girl who rode the open seas of Jervice Bay NSW. Dad always said when we were fishing anyone who keeps a person out at sea when they are seasick should be shot. He claimed this as I was burling the fish up at the back of the boat. We always got a pretty good catch but it took a while for me to recover.

Anyway to list my business at Botany Bay it required looking over the vestle and inspecting the plant and equipment. It was a beautiful day and I couldn’t help but think “what a great life”.

As I was about to sign the vendor on the dotted line a little wave rippled the waters and I sheepishly asked the vendor if he wouldn’t mind me signing him up on the shore, emabarrased to say I was seasick. “My God,” he exclaimed, “we’re still moored to the dock!”

Never the less, we got on famously and I am very confident we will have a sale in the near future.
